I've slept for 7 hours only. Woke up at 7am and then we went out for breakfast earlier than usual (we were really looking forward to the sumptuous meal >.<). However, the feeling was no longer around. It tasted quite the same, but i believed it was just me. The beef bacon tasted too dry, compared to yesterday. After breakfast, it was only 8.55am so we thought of going back to the room for toilet break first.
When we reached the counter, i saw a foreigner checking out whether was it possible to go out to sea today. I told Alan happily then," Is he and his wife the ones going with us to the Waterfall-round trip? I bet it's them who are going with us. We might even become friends." And Alan was looking at me as if i had just landed from space. Oh well~ we took a shuttle service with quite alot of people, about 10 of us and i freaked out, because i thought that we were ALL going for the same trip. But to my relief, no, thanked god! We shared the boat (about the same sized as yesterday's) with them (Michael and Eveline WERE the ones i told Alan that might be going to the trip with us. See dear, you lost the bet! :p) but we did not chat or anything. Well, we did not get the chance also, the engine of the speed boat was way too loud~ Anyway, we were all busy taking photos of the different villages on the island while on the boat. Here:Missed the palmtrees there. Stunning~
I knew we would be seeing alot before we reached for the trekking, thus i brought my specs along. Clever, eh? haha~
OH MY~I'd love to stay there, forever! Look at the glistening sea~~
This looked quite comfortable to live in! But Berjaya is really nice too, so I've got no regrets :D
Tried to take a picture of them as i still haven't pluck up enough courage to ask them for a shot, yet! haha~
This resort looked very plain and quiet.
Looked so misty and grand. You should have see it in person for that feeling.
That's my candy floss! It'd looked so delicious to me :p
If I did not remember wrongly, this is Japa Mala, the most expensive and luxurious resort on the island.
Beautifully built, right? (:
1st "stop": twin peaks (Dragon's Horns). Was not clear as it was blocked by the yummy-looking cloud :p (i put inverted commas for STOP is because at that moment, the boatman literally STOPPED the speed boat right in the middle of the sea while Eveline and Alan kept trying their best to take them down before the cloud moved in.)
Alan wasn't successful. The clouds moved and blocked the peaks anyway ):
2nd stop: Mukut Waterfall (trekking). When we reached Mukut Waterfall, I was damn surprised to know that we would be trekking on our own, WITHOUT the boatman as our guide! He explained to Mike on how to trek up (about 20 minutes or so to reach) and so on and off we went. I started to chat with Eve while Alan talked to Mike as the guys obviously had better stamina (they were moving at a much faster rate than Eve and I.) than us~ haha! They were from Netherlands, Holland. I even told them about a local TV programme 有话好好说4, Say It If You Dare 4 that our local celebrities went Holland on their 1st episode to learn Dutch. Well, actually we talked about EVERYTHING under the sun (:
While Eve and I were panting, chatting and trying to catch up with the guys, Alan and Mike stopped short in their tracks. There was a really BIG spider, it made my skin crawl! The picture alone wasn't as clear as it was quite camouflaged, so there! I circled it. Can you see it now? *smile*Okay, i admit it. All the panting and sweating were worthwhile!
Alan took this where he stood on a rock above. The water was freezingly cold!
I only dared to pat the water on myself while Alan went all the way in!
Just some random shot Alan took.
Well, Alan called for Mike to take this:
Before we left, Alan took this last picture of the very very pretty waterfall.
3rd stop: Juara Village.
What are YOU looking at?!
A tiny monitor lizard. At this point, we (finally) introduced ourselves. Back at the waterfall, we got the chance to do so, but no! haha~
After walking around, we ate at a "restaurant" we saw from the beginning when we just reached Juara's jetty. It was REALLY cheap. RM60 for four plates of rice (two fried rice, one curry prawn rice and a seafood platter rice) plus 3 soft drinks and a Tiger beer (for Mike). We were all surprised, no doubt, as it was definitely more expensive back at Berjaya.
4th stop: Teluk Dalam. The corals here were stunningly beautiful! I had to thanked the sun too, otherwise the pictures wouldn't be this clear! Alan tried to swim without the life vest for about 10-15 minutes (only) before he put it back on. Cause' Mike and Eve did not even touch them for a 2nd time. Great swimmers they were!I still missed the feeling of floating on the water and gazing at the corals and fishes underneath! :p
Colourful, eh? :D
I took this. haha! As i was looking around looking for them, Mike saw me and posed for this.
That's Alan who had went back to the boat to put on his life vest again.
This was what i meant just now: no life vest!
Do i looked like i'm crying? haha~ the sea water was so so SO salty, my eyes stinged and my lips hurt! Oh my~
Off we went again. The sea turned a little choppy, that explained the small white "dots".
Oh WOW~
5th stop: Salang Beach. This wasn't included in the package, but the captain was so nice he brought us there to buy bread, just so we could feed the fishes! Eve fell when she had one foot still on board and one foot out onto the steps. There were algaes growing on it, that was why it was so slippery. Alan went back to get her a smiley plaster and they kept thanking us after that. (: We waited quite some time there as there weren't any staffs behind the counter and when the staff did appear after quite some time, he looked unhappy. =_=" Okay, he must be having a hard day perhaps. Who knows!?
6th stop: Monkey Bay. Me with the loaf of bread! I looked kinda like some cartoon characters, Mickey perhaps! haha~
I made Alan step on some pointed Corals! Or was it sea urchins? :p (sorry dear, i seriously didn't mean it!)
I went up the boat quite quickly as i started to feel sicked, like yesterday's boat trip (headache). Luckily i (also :p) brought my medicated oil with me. It seemed that we were prepared for all sorts of illness/bruise/cuts/pain. haha! Next stop will be continued on Part II.
Keep your eyes glued! ><
